The New York Times treated a routine deportation flight like a humanitarian crisis documentary, serving up breathless accounts of shackles, a so-called “freezer,” and alleged rough handling as if Immigration and Customs Enforcement had invented the concept of removing people who were never supposed to be here in the first place.
Oh, and their source? Illegals who didn't want to be deported in the first place.
We're sure their accounts are totally fair and honest.
Yeah.
Totally.

Our deep look into a deportation flight to Liberia https://t.co/7Uf4ex5MLk
Homeland Security wasted little time calling the whole production a hoax and a pile of garbage, pointing out that no one is being tortured or denied care while also noting that this exact brand of reporting has coincided with a massive spike in assaults on the officers doing the actual work.
Another day and another hoax about ICE detention from the @nytimes. The media is clearly desperate for these false allegations to be true.

NO ONE is being tortured, denied medical care, or beaten in ICE detention facilities.

In the ensuing exchange, the paper of record’s preferred narrative of helpless victims and cartoon villains ran straight into a blunt official denial that left the story looking less like investigative journalism and more like another round of activist stenography that DHS was more than happy to swat out of the air.

FOUR WHOLE JOURNALISTS? No way!
In other words, deportees said it was mean and stuff, and since the NYT hates Trump, they ran with it.
Typical.
You're the guys that assured us that Trump was a Russian asset, Covid definitely didn't come from the WIV, the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian op, and that Biden was sharp as a tack, yes?

Yup.
Took the Times a whole 37 paragraphs to note that their lead alien got pinched for cocaine. https://t.co/Nm1FA72Kfh

Didn’t one of your journalists claim that Israel was training rape dogs?

@NYTimesPR You interviewed 10 people who didn’t want to be deported, then called their accounts a “fair, thorough and above all accurate portrayal.”

Did it ever occur to you they might be lying? Your own article admits parts of the story couldn’t be independently verified.
BINGO.
