Majority of Democrats Want to Recall Seattle Mayor As Starbucks Proceeds With Move to Nashville

Starbucks is moving forward with its move from Seattle to Nashville, cutting 224 corporate jobs in Washington State. Of the 224 laid off, 120 declined relocation to the new headquarters in Tennessee, and 104 positions were cut entirely. End Wokeness reminds us of when Democratic Socialist Mayor Katie Wilson wished a hearty farewell to those businesses fleeing Seattle:

The people of Seattle voted her into office in 2025, but just months into her term, new polls show that a majority of Democrats would like Wilson recalled.

Ari Hoffman reports for The Post Millennial:

Two separate polls released this week show Seattle voters souring dramatically on Socialist Mayor Katie Wilson just months into her first year in office, with one finding two-thirds disapprove of her job performance and another showing that a majority of voters—including Democrats—want her to resign or removed from the position.

A new Change Washington poll conducted August 13-17 found only 22 percent of Seattle registered voters approve of Wilson's job performance, while 66 percent disapprove and 12 percent are unsure.

Even more damaging for the progressive mayor, 60 percent said Wilson should resign or be removed from office, compared with 30 percent who said she should remain and 10 percent who were unsure.

Ouch. Why did these people bother to elect her in the first place?

Both New York City and Chicago went from bad to worse. Seattle voters got the mayor they asked for. A communist with no experience in either the private or public sector? What could go wrong?
