There is one important change X could make today to improve the overall user experience. That change would be to indicate what country a user is based out of and make it very clear.
Hey @elonmusk, please make it mandatory that wherever an account is based - country - be featured in an account’s public profile. Foreign bots are tearing America apart. Thanks.

It's bad enough when Canadians want to opine on American politics. At least because of geography they do have some skin in the game though. People across the globe are currently stirring up controversy in this country and their opinions shouldn't matter in the least. It would be good to know they should be ignored.
Half of twitter when they hear they’ll have their country of origin revealed https://t.co/wZZAqPNcgt pic.twitter.com/Af351gJjkc

Exactly! There are a whole bunch of accounts who don't want that and that is even more reason we need it.
YES! And please ensure that people who use VPNs to get around it (since face it, those are free and easy to use) can't post to X.

It's not asking for identity, but it absolutely will bust all those posters who act like they're American, use X to influence politics as a foreigner… https://t.co/NoeXOi9kvJ
Yes, there need to some protections in place for X to continue being a platform to discuss news and politics in a healthy manner.
We second this - the foreign based, faux “America first” accounts are getting to be a massive problem and diminishes the joy of using X. https://t.co/jzPPzfosRl

This needs to be a priority @elonmusk I’m pretty sure you understand why. https://t.co/lkm6QijUKb

It would also immediately make the X experience so much better.
And then let me filter out whatever countries I want https://t.co/Km2yo8feg9

That would be most excellent.
I can 100% get behind this. All social media and discussion services should adopt this. As long as it is not abused by the services and authorities, I am good with this. All evildoing could be reduced.

For abuse mitigation, I can endorse this around the world. https://t.co/PUDy9OCzV7
There is no downside.
This would be incredibly helpful. I wish I understood why it’s so hard to identify and remove bots. I would think the automation they use would make it easier than it appears to be https://t.co/cdI6kSfihZ

It shouldn't be this hard. The other upside? A higher quality platform would attract more paid users.
I completely agree — showing each account’s country of registration on 𝕏 would be a huge step forward. It would clear up a lot of questions about those who hide their real location while posing as residents of other countries. https://t.co/pPNnKyuNi4

Please add a Texas Flag too becuase Texas is a whole 'nother country... pic.twitter.com/JJirPpq2gW

As a Floridian, I demand a Florida flag, as well. I want to shout it loud and proud!
