Why is Sen. Ted Cruz doing this filibuster anyway? The cloture vote isn’t today, so he’s not delaying that. He is educating the public (and his fellow senators) on the damage Obamacare is doing to the economy, but some of his colleagues don’t seem to get it. Or perhaps they do, and that’s why they’re all for ruining the economy.
Sen. Dick Durbin wasn’t moved by the story of Judy, whose loss of income qualified her for Medicaid. And isn’t that what the Democrats’ social safety net is there for? Everybody, into the safety net! It’s awesome!
