Jake Tapper's pearl-clutching over Trump calling Nancy Pelosi 'an animal' rings ultra mega hollow

In case you missed it, at a rally in Ohio yesterday, former President Donald Trump referred to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “an animal”:

OK, so, to be clear, this was not a classy thing for Donald Trump to say. Not that he’s known for being classy, but yeah. He could very easily have not called her “an animal” and gotten his point across. (He at least does have a point that Nancy Pelosi shouldn’t have run to defend MS-13’s honor.)

Anyway, with all that said, the way Jake Tapper reacted to it, you’d think Trump had called Pelosi “deranged, unhinged, and dangerous” or “Mr. Make Matters Worse.” No, wait, sorry. That’s what Nancy Pelosi called Donald Trump. Silly us.

Anyway, here’s what Jake Tapper said about Trump’s “animal” comment:

OK … and?

Jake seems a tad melodramatic here.

Seriously, Jake. Come on. Trump wasn’t referring to Pelosi as “an animal” in the context of the Paul Pelosi attack. Also, since when are you concerned about “dehumanizing rhetoric”?

Nope, you weren’t absent. It just never happened.

Bueller? Bueller?

Jake Tapper’s indignation over Donald Trump’s “dehumanizing rhetoric” about Nancy Pelosi rings hollow as hell. Just last week, President Biden doubled down on his smears of Republican voters as “extreme/ultra/mega MAGA” domestic terrorists who will unleash extreme/ultra/mega violence if Democrats aren’t unilaterally running the country. The “dehumanizing rhetoric” is literally coming from inside the White House, Jake. Why don’t you go pay them a visit? And then feel free to head on home to your own glass house:
