The reports about the horrors caused by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s nursing home policies are disturbing enough, but put all the sexual harassment claims on top of it and it spells trouble for him. And now there’s another element to the Cuomo story: The Washington Post has reported that Gov. Cuomo prioritized VIPs, including family members, for Covid-19 testing and treatment:

Separately, nurses working for the state were dispatched in two-person swabbing teams to test “dozens” of VIPs, some living in penthouses in Manhattan, according to one person with direct knowledge. Those tests were then driven to the Wadsworth lab for expedited processing.

Names of the "VIPs" and "specials" were closely held by an assistant working for state health commissioner Howard Zucker and obscured throughout the expedited testing process, often through the use of numbers or letter initials or even aliases in some cases.
