Oh, come on. This has to be a joke or satire. Or something.

But no, the feminist self-parody is unintentional.

Student Carolyn Luby says she penned her open letter to University of Connecticut president Susan Herbst with “sincere concern” that the “powerful and aggressive” new husky logo promotes campus rape culture. Luby writes:

It is looking right through you and saying, ‘Do not mess with me.’ This is a streamlined, fighting dog, and I cannot wait for it to be on our uniforms and court.~Geno Auriemma stated about the new logo change.

What terrifies me about the admiration of such traits is that I know what it feels like to have a real life Husky look straight through you and to feel powerless, and to wonder if even the administration cannot “mess with them.”

Take back the night … from a freakin’ husky?

Ashley Judd, eternally obsessed with equating anything and everything with rape, would be proud.

While the feminist absurdity induces eye rolls, Luby is trivializing rape and demeaning rape survivors who understand that a stylized husky logo has nothing to do with victimization.

You’ve come a long way, baby.
