Leave it to a Cato Institute lackey to bust into the comments making all kinds of excuses. Yes, David, we know not ALL illegals commit crimes, but they are all criminals. They are in this country illegally. Beyond that, a whole bunch of them do go on to commit violent offenses.

If no illegals are in America, no illegals will commit crimes. Now, Americans may still commit crimes and our justice system will deal with that. There is no reason to bring EXTRA criminals here just because there are already some criminals here. That's like advocating for dumping mounds of ants in your house from outside if you find a few on your kitchen counter.
