Mike Rogers is the Republican running for Senate in Michigan against Abdul El-Sayed. He rightly called out the El-Sayed campaign for violent rhetoric. Journalist Dave Weigel asked Rogers to show some evidence of this alleged violent rhetoric.

Rogers says the El-Sayed campaign is filled with “calls for violence” — would like a source on that https://t.co/nf1UqwBHRY

That's a fair question.
Happy to provide a few quick examples @daveweigel:
— Mike Rogers War Room (@RFSWarRoom) August 7, 2026
"By the time we are done, you (Mike Rogers) are not going to have safe quarter." -@AbdulElSayed (August 5, 2026)
“When they go low, we don't go high. We take them to the mud and choke them out." -@AbdulElSayed (August 23,… https://t.co/ayaCzrpJjI
The Rogers team was happy to oblige.
Hasan Piker, his surrogate, has been calling for violence nonstop

or do you think those were just jokes? https://t.co/v0135eluiU
It's so weird how Dave never takes El-Sayed's words seriously. It's like he always thinks he's just kidding around.
Guess you missed this supporter of El-Sayed?
— Helen Crabtree (@merecitizen1913) August 8, 2026
The one El-Sayed was fist bumping.
Or are you so vested in taking out those who believe in the actual constitution that you support the guy screaming for blood who is fully embraced by the guy you're supporting.
Did you miss… https://t.co/1WegVNj0xI
Dave doesn't want to admit the kind of person El-Sayed actually is.
You have not dug very deep. Try again. There is a lot. A lot. Just saying. https://t.co/7RfqwIqyue

This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Here is a video David will NOT condemn 👇👇👇 https://t.co/J3LOJIXZw3 pic.twitter.com/wHilWLmR38

Another video of one of El-Sayed's biggest supporters (Hasan Piker) who often campaigns with him.
Are you trolling?
— Jesse Arm (@Jesse_Leg) August 7, 2026
His most prominent campaign surrogate is a radical maniac who is trying to get people killed.pic.twitter.com/O2LiW5ZyRK
Be careful watching these videos around little ears. El-Sayed's best buddy has terrible language.
Adul El-Sayed literally called Sen John Fetterman an orge whose head should be on a pike.https://t.co/c8oAc4fc1p
— Izengabe (@Izengabe_) August 8, 2026
Oh, and there was also that.
You're trolling. His top surrogate Piker has called for violence numerous times.

Have you considered doing a journalism?
— Joe DeVito (@JoeDeVitoComedy) August 8, 2026
What a concept!
— HT (@HunterTreacy) August 7, 2026
Oh, look! Dave's self-portrait.
Everything about this post/profile is great. A preening corporate journalist with 500k followers and zero self awareness getting owned by average ppl who take 30 seconds to post the results of a .001 second Google search. pic.twitter.com/mOdnkEseYU
