As a lifelong Native Floridian, I’ve weathered more hurricanes than I can count. Some years they come one after another, and other years—like this past blessed one—we don’t see a single one.
What I love most about Florida is that we almost always get plenty of warning before a storm hits. That’s a luxury you don’t have with earthquakes, tornadoes, or wildfires.
Beyond that, we enjoy near-perfect weather for most of the year (June through August excluded, of course), no state income tax, a government that actually leans conservative, and the magic of Disney World right in our backyard.
Hurricanes and all… it’s still the greatest place on Earth.
I i think the amount of hurricanes we're having in florida every year versus the amount we used to have is pretty good proof of climate change.

For years, the Left has predicted Florida’s impending collapse: Miami underwater, endless hurricanes, total catastrophe.
Miami is still high and dry. And despite their claims, we are not experiencing more hurricanes than ever. It’s simply not true.
What you think doesn't matter.

Because the reality is that hurricane strikes in Florida have decreased significantly since 1851.
• 12 hurricanes struck Florida in the 1870s (the most in a decade on record)
• ZERO hurricanes made landfall last year.
• ZERO made landfall… https://t.co/OfS49JnSZB pic.twitter.com/CVcNu2Fgn7
When presented with evidence, it's still not enough to sway them from their preconceived notions.
Oh no!

Dont you go trying to use data and logic to prove any sort of argument against msn made climate change!
That simply will not do!
I like to believe it is because the hurricanes were scared to enter the Gulf of America.

Unsurprisingly, presumptive narrative falls to factual narrative.

Funny how that happens.
The beauty of the global warming hoax is the paid “experts” with their broke “climate models” can blame any and every type of weather event or non-event on the hoax. All the other hoaxes have that same feature.

Isn't that convenient for them?
Should also mention that the effects of hurricanes are more strongly felt nowadays because we’ve put so many more buildings and people in their path in FL. This also skews the perception

This is a fair take.
04 and 05 was a real bitch but yea we saw nothing for over a decade after that.

That’s just how it goes. There are bad hurricane years and there are good ones, but there’s nothing new under the sun. Storms have come and gone for centuries. Some years are worse than others — that’s always been true.
The Left can keep sounding the alarm and predicting Florida’s demise, but the facts haven’t changed. Florida remains a paradise with beautiful weather, no state income tax, conservative leadership, and world-class attractions. We’ll keep riding out the occasional storm and enjoying everything this state has to offer.
