There is a bit of a Baby Boom in the Trump Administration. Usha Vance, the wife of Stephen Miller (Katie Miller) and Karoline Leavitt are all pregnant. This is joyous news! Well, most Republicans consider it good news, but according to a recent New York Times poll, Democrats aren't so thrilled about baby making.
NY Times poll Q that will go unnoticed but worth pointing out.

When asking childless voters if they want to have children one day.
43% of Trump voters said yes, 34% say no
46% of GOP said yes, 31% say no
47% of Harris voters say no, 25% say yes
39% of Dems say no, 29% say yes
It's very sad Democrats really don't seem to see the value on family. It is the most rewarding relationship one can have in their lives. I don't know what I'd do without my children and my Mom and I miss my Dad desperately. I wish I had one more day with him all the time. I can't imagine not experiencing that kind of love. It's not always easy. We fuss and get on each other's nerves from time to time, but there are no others I'd rather do that with.
Conservatives have to stop sending their kids to their schools. That's how their ideas propagate, not through parenting.

Even if conservatives model the importance of family in their homes, spending all day with teachers who really see themselves as Leftist activists, can be very damaging. It's too big a risk to take.
I used to call this the "Duggar effect" before, well, but nevertheless the point stands: The choice of liberals not to have kids is a problem, especially since there is probably a hereditary component to attitudes.

If there is a hereditary component to attitudes, that is great for conservatives. We are the ones having babies. I have successfully steered my children into conservative thought by having many conversations around public policy and why our religious beliefs inform our political beliefs. I have to believe other Republicans do the same and that is good for the health of the GOP. Still, our country needs lots and lots of babies and it's disconcerting when half of the country doesn't want to have a family.
The right is going to outbreed the left, but those numbers are still no bueno for our side.

I'm telling you, man, so much of this split has to do with indoctrination in colleges and universities.https://t.co/weOQcf20jv

It would be more productive if GOP natalist policy is framed as "how do we help people who want to have children" rather than "how do we convince people to have children".

For example, stop standing on the necks of consumers so a family can survive on one salary. One way to do that is get rid of illegal labor artificially deflating wages. Also, stop with all the H1B Visas forcing American tech workers out of good paying jobs.
We find a similar partisan gap in our own survey - 2024 Trump voters without kids much more likely to say they would like to have children someday than 2024 Harris voters https://t.co/vNWFdXEQnH pic.twitter.com/ZN6sKyo4Os

The cultural implications of this are already here and they are about to scale dramatically. Liberals run nearly all of the major institutions (political, cultural, financial) in America, and they are increasingly childless. Their incentives are about to conflict with an entire… https://t.co/c25c6PUioJ

In other words, the people running most everything don't have kids and don't want them, so considering the implications of family and what is good for the next generation is not their priority. That is disheartening, indeed.
