Over the last week or so, a video of a former Nickelodeon child star has been circulating the internet. It's terribly sad and caught my interest because he was in a show my own children used to watch when they were younger.

Former Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase was spotted back on the street Christmas Eve ... but this time a few fans were there to help him out.
Pictures show the dire straights Tylor is in, loitering outside businesses at a shopping plaza in Riverside, California.
But in video, obtained by TMZ, 2 men are seen making Tylor's holiday a little brighter.
One of the men prays over Tylor after giving him a jacket to keep him protected from the torrential downpour beating down on Southern California. The man prayed, "Take him out of the darkness right now in the name of Jesus, my Lord ... show him that you love him, my Lord. Anything that he's gone through -- give him peace, give him joy, my Lord."
A former co-star tried to get Tylor help, but Tylor trashed the hotel room. Tylor's parents asked for a gofundme to be taken down because they said access to cash could cause him more harm than good.

No he's not safe. Tyler trashed the hotel and left a few hours later. He needs to be placed on a 51/50 hold so he can dry out. His father should come to California and bring him back to Georgia

Yes, he will never get better in California. California makes it almost impossible for a family to help their loved one in crisis.
This is called the Nickelodeon effect.

Just crazy 💀 pic.twitter.com/FILsiumvhr
Tylor is clearly very mentally ill as well as being on drugs. Being in California makes the situation even worse since they coddle people in crisis.
he needs to be in a rehabilitation/recovery clinic. not be used for clout.

This is the worst part. He has become a spectacle and a way for people to virtue signal their charity. That's less than helpful. Even the Bible instructs us to do our good deeds in private.
Make sure when you help him you film it so TMZ picks it up and can exploit him even further.

I’m not sure why you or people in general feel the need to film this process - this is a huge reason why there is a stigma back and forth - and why a lot of people don’t trust the help they may or may not receive.

This type of film popularity is disgusting and it needs to stop. https://t.co/KdZ2hXIRDv
Hopefully, this young man can get some much needed help. He needs long term intensive care and probably will always require supervision to take his medication once he is stabilized. That would be compassionate care.
