There is a lot wrong with American government schools and that is why I am a huge proponent of school choice. Some of it has to do with poor parenting, lackluster teacher preparation, student behavior and even teachers who are just lazy. Another big problem is the amount of time and resources students who don't speak English are taking up in major public school systems. It's out of control. Here are a few examples.
$70 million on illegals in public school per year in Miami-Dade alone. So much American money going down the drain. pic.twitter.com/yhtHAkA4SI

This is Miami, Florida for example. Thankfully, the number is down significantly now that Trump is in charge, but all the kids who came through on Biden will be in the school system for years to come.
A spokesperson for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools says unofficial attendance data from today indicates that approximately 20,935 students were absent from school today. This accounts for approximately 15% of students enrolled in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools @wsoctv

Raids are happening in Charlotte, North Carolina so kids stayed home from school today. A whole bunch of kids.
So a conservative estimate is that one-seventh of a major southern public school district is here illegally. https://t.co/lW2Ua4yHHA

Both Florida and North Carolina are deep-red states, yet their public schools are completely overrun with illegal aliens who don’t speak a word of English. And it’s killing the system. Teaching these kids costs way more than anyone admits. Some get shoved into regular classrooms with an extra aide, which forces the teacher to waste hours making separate materials and giving one-on-one help while American kids who actually need it get ignored. Others get pulled out for special ESL classes, which means we have to hire extra teachers, extra aides, stock entire extra classrooms, and buy mountains of separate books and supplies.
The feds send a little “reimbursement” money, sure, but it’s still coming out of the same American taxpayers’ pockets after a detour through Washington.
I love a good American Dream story as much as any red-blooded patriot, but these kids aren’t bootstrapping anything. Every single one who “makes it” does so only because American taxpayers paid for their education, their housing, their food, their medical care, while millions of our own poor citizens get zero help and working-class families are crushed under the load.
American citizens are not the world’s charity. Our kids come first. Full stop.
Wow, imagine how much money and teacher time would be freed up to help American kids if so much of our resources weren’t being mooched by intruders.

We need to stop imagining and start removing these families today. American kids deserve the help. Middle class families deserve to be able to find a house. Workers deserve fair wages not suppressed by illegal labor. The American people are owed it. More than that, if our kids are to have any future, we must demand it.
