Bono's Music: Great for Road Trips, But Please Spare Us the Political Preening

I enjoy Bono and his music—it's perfect for road trips, post-breakup moping, or sipping a drink by a campfire. It hits the right notes and has earned him fame and fortune. Well done. But his latest tour, championing Gaza and railing against what he thinks America is doing wrong, feels exhausting. A non-citizen worth over $700 million, whose charities give a pittance to their causes, lecturing overtaxed Americans about funding corrupt operations tied to terrorism is a bit rich. He’s welcome to write a check himself. No one’s died from cleaning up USAID’s process—leftist outrage isn’t evidence. Maybe he should focus on his own country and let America handle its own issues. Can’t we just enjoy his music in peace?

There is zero evidence cleaning up the USAID process has caused any deaths. Shrieking by a bunch of leftist harpies is hardly evidence. Maybe he should worry about his own country and allow America to sort out its own issues.

Can't he allow us just to enjoy his music in peace? Dang.

Bono may not have the full picture? Who would have thought?

It really does feel tempting just to remove all U2 from the playlist. It's all so exhausting.

Bono’s latest piety tour isn’t just about USAID—he’s also tearing his hair out over Bibi and Gaza. Apparently, he’s an expert on everything. How convenient that his takes align perfectly with the American Left, just like every other singer on the planet (except Kid Rock, Lee Greenwood, and Jason Aldean, of course).

He parrots their opinions for free—it’s the easiest way to blend in with the chorus of wealthy entertainers who all think alike but never open their own wallets to help. Ranting about Trump and the evil GOP is far simpler and a lot cheaper
