With the bleak August jobs report comes the news that labor participation is down and job growth has slowed — unexpectedly, natch.

The country has reached 43 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent, but don’t you worry your pretty little heads about that “turbulence,” says NBC’s Luke Russert. In lapdog world, it’s full speed ahead for the Obama rocket!
