On CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza of “The New Yorker” argued that Twitter and other social media have caused a “crisis in political journalism” by making candidates and officials afraid to speak openly.
“Reliable Sources” host (and Twitter laughingstock) Howard Kurtz tweeted the discussion topic. Unsurprisingly, people once again came to the defense of citizen journalism and social media as repeatedly-proven tools of modern political coverage.
