Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s interview on CNN Sunday morning with Jake Tapper is garnering an immense amount of criticism, and with good reason.
Israel says he cannot even remember when he learned that his deputy had not gone into the building where innocent children were being murdered.
TAPPER: When did you find out that Deputy Peterson had not gone into the building? How soon after the shooting did you know that?
ISRAEL: Not for days.
TAPPER: How many days?

As we told you earlier, the sheriff made clear during the CNN interview that he has no intention of resigning.

And yes, this was the same interview in which Tapper lit him up for making jokes while 17 people are dead.
