MSNBC analyst embarrasses himself trying to blame the resignation of Florida International University's president on Ron DeSantis

There was some minor news in South Florida on Friday when the president of Florida International University in Miami abruptly resigned, catching the university by surprise:

BREAKING: An emergency meeting for the FIU board of trustees is being called for 4 pm where @FIU President Mark Rosenberg is expected to announce his immediate resignation, according to sources. This move comes as a surprise. No reason for why Rosenberg is out. @CBSMiami

Fernand Amandi, an analyst for MSNBC, quickly blamed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the move:

Sigh. If only he had waited a few moments, he would have learned that the resignation was because of his wife’s health:

It is worth noting that Mark Rosenberg’s wife has been seriously ill for a long time. That may have played into the abrupt decision to resign. We are waiting to see his actual letter of resignation.

He then tweeted at Christina Pushaw in Russian after FIU released the statement saying it was because of his wife’s health:

Translation: “Looks can be deceiving but you of all people already know that, right?”
