Patrick Murphy, former Democrat congressman from Florida’s 18th congressional district, wants to add a vote to the totals of Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson because he’s mail-in ballot was thrown out for an “invalid signature”:
Hey @MarcACaputo, just saw notice from @PBCounty that my absentee ballot wasn’t counted due to ‘invalid signature’ match. Should be +1 @NelsonForSenate @AndrewGillum. Must overhaul these ridiculous barriers to voting #FloridaRecount #FLSen #FLGov

And add a vote to Nikki Fried as well who is running for state Agriculture Commissioner:
And +1 @nikkifried for that matter. #FlaPol

The state’s “signature match” policy is becoming an issue with this year’s recount drama:
The state's “signature match” policy that threw out thousands of votes in Florida prevented even a former U.S. Congressman from voting. https://t.co/I9ZewTV3IP

Soon-to-be ex-Sen. Nelson wants all of these votes to count:
UPDATE: In a lawsuit, Bill Nelson is demanding all provisional and mail-in ballots to be counted, saying that the law puts signature matching duties in the hands of untrained people and disenfranchises voters.https://t.co/tAbcWS7URk

But don’t let anyone tell you this is only happening this year. Republican Ron DeSantis had his 2016 primary election vote thrown out for the same reason:
FUN FACT: @RonDeSantisFL had his 2016 primary election vote thrown out by the Flagler Co. canvassing board because his signature didn't match the signature on file. #Sayfie #FlaPol #FloridaRecount #WTSP pic.twitter.com/4YcZceTh17

Editor’s note: As a Florida resident, my signature was challenged at the polls the past two elections because my signature has changed from my driver’s license. I was given a second try an allowed to vote both times
