Sen. Ted Cruz just responded to the accidental like of a hardcore porn video on his @TedCruz Twitter account last night in the best way possible — with humor:
Ted Cruz just now jokes about liked porn tweet: "Perhaps we should have done something like this during the Indiana primary."

Pitch perfect.
Although an investigation is ongoing:
Cruz: "There are a number of people on the team that have access to the account & it appears that someone inadvertently hit the like button"

But it wasn’t Ted, according to Ted:
Q: It wasn’t you?
CRUZ: "It was a staffing issue, and it was inadvertent, it was a mistake, it was not a deliberate action."

The the staffer’s status is TBD:
Is person going to be terminated/disciplined?
CRUZ: "We’re dealing w/ it internally, but it was a mistake, it was not malicious conduct"
