President Donald Trump channeled reality show host Donald Trump on Friday, via Attorney General Jeff Sessions, when he demanded the resignation of the remaining 46 Obama-era U.S. Attorneys across the country:

Keep in mind, all president do this to some degree. For comparison purposes, Trump is copying former President Bill Clinton who fired all 93 U.S. Attorneys on the same day:
Reminder: upon taking office Bill Clinton fired ALL of the U.S. Attorneys. As in all of them. All 93 of them.
There was no scandal.

From the New York Times:
Still, some presidents have done it gradually, while keeping some inherited prosecutors in place, as it had appeared Mr. Trump would do with Mr. Bharara. President Barack Obama, for example, kept Mr. Rosenstein, who had been appointed by President George W. Bush.
Still, in 1993, the Clinton administration fired all 93 United States attorneys on the same day.
But despite that fact, libs are losing it over Trump’s move. Here’s former DOJ spox and Hillary Clinton supporter Matthew Miller:
A new POTUS can do what he wants with US attorneys, but coming when it does, this smacks of Trump paranoia about "deep state" conspiracies.

Rep. John Conyers:
Disturbing that 46 US Attorneys asked to resign. Need all US Attorney Offices at full strength. https://t.co/VhIbr1gjks

Sen. Dianne Feinstein:
The White House counsel told me there would be an orderly transition, as has been done previously. Clearly this is not the case.

Rep. Jerry Nadler:
Much 2 be concerned about here, not the least of which is normal, orderly transition. When previously occurred, replacements were on-deck. https://t.co/uEJTJEPqkN

And this writer for The Nation is blaming Sean Hannity:
Firing of 46 US Attorneys by Sessions occurred day after Sean Hannity called for "purge" of Obama appointees https://t.co/LsVDpfYun5 pic.twitter.com/DaKpPFFydk

Now for a fact-check from Gabriel Malor:
This is dumb. All presidents do this. Stop trying to make deep state conspiracies happen, Matthew. https://t.co/EqwpV40ZID

Or journos are admitting Trump can do it, but that it’s the timing which is at issue:
The DoJ is asking United States Attorneys to submit resignations immediately, standard practice for POTUSes,but occurring w sudden scramble

Again, here’s the reality:
Obama also delayed for a month like this. The USAttys were notified to hang on pending additional instructions in a Jan. letter.
