Apparently Jennifer Lawrence told some dopey story during an appearance on the “Graham Norton Show” last week about using a pile of sacred rocks that she was sitting on while filming “Hunger Games” in Hawaii to scratch itch her butt:

The internet, of course, was outraged. Here’s the video where she shows how she used the rocks to itch her butt along with an anecdote on how one of the stones broke loose during her desecration and almost killed a crew member on the set:

Actress Jennifer Lawrence's comments on sacred Hawaii rocks called offensive https://t.co/QkqFj2svo2

Another reason Jennifer Lawrence is so annoying. Knowingly messes with something sacred to Hawiians. Then brags and makes a joke about it. https://t.co/EB6VFz0JzN

FWIW, this isn’t the first time she’s told this story. In 2013, she claimed that she didn’t know the rocks were sacred before using them on her backside:

Lawrence has since apologized:
Editor’s note. As the WSJ’s James Taranto points out, we should have used “scratch” in our headline instead of “itch”:
