With 64 days until the election, Donald Trump is going after Republican Senator Jeff Flake of swing-state Arizona, calling him “weak” and not enough of a “committed” leader to stop illegal immigration:
The Republican Party needs strong and committed leaders, not weak people such as @JeffFlake, if it is going to stop illegal immigration.

The Great State of Arizona, where I just had a massive rally (amazing people), has a very weak and ineffective Senator, Jeff Flake. Sad!

Flake had said earlier on CNN that he’s not yet ready to support Trump:
Arizona Republican Sen. @JeffFlake told me: ‘as of now, I would still not vote for Donald Trump.’ #CNNSotu https://t.co/x41EYlpbCg

Well, Trump’s tweet certainly won’t help. What happened to focusing on Hillary Clinton?

Some are questioning why Trump would go after Flake, especially since he needs the state GOP in November:

Arizona’s Jon Gabriel adds that attacking Flake, who is Mormon, won’t help Trump with the Mormon-dominated state GOP apparatus:
it'll be interesting to watch Trump try to win AZ by attacking Mormons. They're the backbone of the state GOP.

Maybe The Donald got the message? His next tweet was about Hillary:
The polls are close so Crooked Hillary is getting out of bed and will campaign tomorrow. Why did she hammer 13 devices and acid-wash e-mails?

That’s better.
