GOP front-runner for third place begins vetting vice presidential candidates

Delusional presidential candidate John Kasich who just happens to trail Marco Rubio in delegates said in an interview with CBS’s John Roberts that he’s already started vetting vice presidential candidates so that when he wins the nomination in Cleveland he won’t just have to pick someone “out of a hat”:

Way to stay positive, governor! An excerpt:

“Well, we have some old hands now who are beginning to do that,” Kasich said in an interview for Sunday’s CBS “Face the Nation.” “These things come quickly and you don’t want to have yourself in a position where you’ve got to pick somebody out of a hat.”

And asked whether that’s something he will use in Cleveland to help get delegates to turn his way after the first ballot, Kasich replied: “Yeah, I think it’s always possible.”

Kasich went on to say it’s possible that he’ll announce his running mate in June, before the convention that runs from July 18–21.
