At last night’s Country Music Awards in Nashville, co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood opened up with a rather funny parody song poking fun at the past year’s news stories including Donald Trump leading in the polls and McDonald’s serving all day breakfast.
But the song was not without controversy as one of the lyrics included the line, “Bruce Jenner’s a babe now.”
The website Refinery29 has called the joke “transphobic” in a new story up today:
