NRO’s Charles C.W. Cooke calls this New York Times garbage on President Trump and the MS-13 animals what it is: lying.
This is the New York Times lying. https://t.co/94MYrJ5Xfo

Trump lashed out at undocumented immigrants during a White House meeting, calling those trying to breach the country’s borders “animals” https://t.co/aQNeu29T6e pic.twitter.com/ogrFKaWyDZ

Ben Shapiro agrees:
This is a complete lie. He was referring specifically to MS-13. Trump Derangement Syndrome has gone terminal at NYT. https://t.co/ToiXekwArn
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) May 17, 2018
And we like Jedediah Bila’s description of it, too:
And many, many others we link to frequently are calling out the Times, too:
Fake news. He was specifically referencing MS-13 gang members. I don’t love the phrasing in that context either, but the Times’ framing here is false, misleading, bad, & agenda-driven. https://t.co/bjxniBT4ex
— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) May 17, 2018
This is just blatantly dishonest. Again, he was talking about MS-13 gang members coming here illegally, and the NYT knows that.
And now that this quote has gone viral, no amount of corrections will fix it. https://t.co/e5NecOR3i3

This lie is from the same people who claim to be distressed about how fake news on social media undermines the sanctity of democracy. https://t.co/qquNDbUrwd
— David Harsanyi (@davidharsanyi) May 17, 2018
This is journalistic malpractice. Trump was answering a question related to "undocumented" MS-13 members. https://t.co/u3eznl1xR7

If you’re defending MS-13 gang members to take a shot at Trump, you’re part of the problem. https://t.co/LP1lw8N1tp

Even people with no love of Trump think it’s bad:
I beg for my conservative friends to be honest about his shortcomings, & then you people come in w/ this complete, abject nonsense. That is not what he said, and you know it. Your indefensible lies feed the Trumpian wave. There was no ambiguity that he was talking about MS-13 https://t.co/HuXTcyCMky
— David L. Bahnsen (@DavidBahnsen) May 17, 2018
Why are you making us defend Trump?
He was talking about MS-13, which would have been clear had you included the full quote. https://t.co/648GL3U3ox
— The Reagan Battalion (@ReaganBattalion) May 17, 2018
Hmm, wasn’t he pretty clearly referring to the criminal element and not all illegal entrants? https://t.co/1iH0cDYIUJ
— David French (@DavidAFrench) May 17, 2018
Crystal clear.
