LOL, You Have No Power Here: Watch as ICE Agent Shuts Window on Congressmen DEMANDING Access

Meme

If you told me in November when the Democrats lost the House, Senate, and Presidential election that in only six months, the party would be in worse shape than it has ever been in my lifetime, I probably wouldn't have believed it. Sure, the losing party in an election year often spends a little time in the wilderness. That's nothing new. But in the past, generally, that party would engage in some self-reflection, re-evaluation, and come back with a stronger message for Americans.

Instead, the Democrats have doubled and tripled down on the wrong side of 80/20 issues like illegal immigration, defending terrorists and gang members, men in women's sports, and 'transing the kids.' Outside of the actual issues, it is almost impossible that November me would have ever believed that the party would turn itself into an absolute clown show that thinks it can govern by publicity stunt alone.

Yet, this is where they are. This is how they are defining themselves today. From Cory Booker staging a filibuster of nothing so he can sell a book to LaMonica McIver, Alex Padilla, and Brad Lander assaulting government officials so they can cry about it later, the party's leadership has become no different than liberal white women donning Handmaid's Tale outfits whenever ... well, whenever anything at all happens.

The truly amazing part, however, is that, despite polls and public opinion showing that these stunts are not working with anyone outside of the six percent of America that constitutes the craziest leftists, they keep staging them.

This week, two more Congressmen who, like Padilla, no one had ever heard of before, tried to pull a McIver (or Maxine Waters) and DEMAND entrance to an ICE facility in Chicago. The reaction of the ICE agent at the window is a perfect window into how America is reacting to Democrats turning into theater kids before our very eyes.

For the benefit of anyone who doesn't recognize these two men (which is everyone), they are Illinois Representatives Raja Krishnamoorthi and Jonathan Jackson.

I don't know the name of the ICE agent who slammed the window in their faces, but it's not necessary.

It is safe to say that he is all of us.

And the reactions to the video on X demonstrated that pretty clearly.

It reminded me, and others, of the based security guard who told Waters to get bent when she tried to demand entrance to the Department of Education

I love that guy. And I love this ICE security guard, too.

Look, this is not difficult. If two Congressmen actually wanted to get into an ICE facility, they could make an appointment to do so.

But that's NOT what they really want. What they want is the spectacle. They want to be able to film it so they can show it to their ever-shrinking base and scream, 'SEE? FASCISM! RRREEEEE!'

I suppose we should all be grateful that Krishnamoorthi and Jackson didn't try to break the window. Or throw a Molotov cocktail at the security guard.

The answer to that question is simple.

They do it because they have no message that resonates, they have no policy prescriptions that would not be wildly unpopular, and, frankly, they have no skill to govern.

All they have is the circus.

I know politicians on both sides of the aisle are prone to grandstanding. Every elected official is at least a little bit of a narcissist who just wants attention.

But this is getting pretty ridiculous with the Democrats.

Have either of these Congressmen -- or any of the other Democrats who have staged similar stunts -- introduced any legislation to counter the Trump administration's immigration policies? Of course, they haven't. Granted, Democrats are in the minority now, so any legislation would be doomed to failure, but at least it would be a signal to America that they are somewhat serious people.

They are not, as it turns out, serious people. They just want to be 'the resistance,' like the mobs on the street that they foment. I'm surprised they don't all show up to these stunts wearing red berets and Che Guevara t-shirts.

Far be it from me to interrupt my political opponents when they are intent on making mistakes, but if Democrats continue to try to govern by Kabuki theater, it is almost impossible to see them ever winning a national election again.

In other words, keep going, Democrats. You're doing GREAT!
