It's only been 24 hours and we have heard a lot of bad things about Minnesota Governor Tim Walz already.
I hope you will read all of our Twitchy coverage of what a horrible politician this far-left governor is. And there is still more to come. But here's a quick recap of just some of the things we know so far:
- Walz let Minneapolis burn, including a police station, during the George Floyd riots
- Walz is further to the left than Nancy Pelosi on removing ALL restrictions on abortion
- Walz, like Andrew Cuomo, put COVID patients into nursing homes, killing countless seniors
- Walz set up a 'snitch hotline' during COVID for people to report their neighbors who did not comply with mandates
- Walz claimed he was deaf when he got a DUI for driving nearly 100 mph in a 55 mph zone
- Walz abandoned his fellow soldiers when he was supposed to be deployed to Iraq (he was demoted for this, so don't let anyone, let alone Walz himself, claim he is a Command Master Sargeant)
- Walz, despite this cowardice, claims he bore weapons in combat (he never served in combat), weapons that he now wants to take away from citizens
And perhaps worst of all for me ... - Walz signed legislation that not only would legalize sterilization and mutilation of minors in service to the gender cult, but the law actually allows the state to take children from their parents if they don't go along with the trans agenda.
Truly disgusting. Literally stealing children away from families to ensconce them into gender ideology. Forever.
I honestly didn't think it could get any worse from Walz than the laundry list above, particularly that last item.
Sadly ... revoltingly ... I was wrong.

Yesterday, we learned WHY Walz might be so eager to destroy children. As it so happens, his LGBTQ+ kidnapping law wasn't the only one he signed.
Walz also believes that pedophilia is a 'sexual orientation.' And he put his signature to that belief.

In this amendment, Finke CROSSED OUT the section that expressly precluded pedophiles from falling under the definition of 'Sexual orientation.'
In the old bill, the definition 'Sexual orientation' delineated which people were were protected under the Minnesota Human Rights Statute, making it a violation to discriminate against those falling under that definition. This old definition EXPLICITLY EXCLUDED pedophiles through the addition of this phrase to the definition: 'Sexual orientation' does not include a physical 1.20 or sexual attachment to children by an adult.
The amendment to 2022 c 52 art 19 s 44, (yes, this includes the section crossing out the pedophile exclusion), is characterized by Finke in the committee hearing as 'modernizing' the terminology to reflect more contemporary understandings of sexual orientation and gender.
They think including pedophiles under the umbrella of 'Sexual orientation' reflects a 'modern understanding of sexuality and gender.'
If you need to pause your reading for a minute to vomit, go right ahead. I know I did.
If you're a regular Twitchy reader, you know that this is not the first time we have talked about Leigh Finke (who is a MALE) or his proposed amendment. He introduced it in February 2023, and Twitchy's Aaron Walker did a deep dive into it later in the spring.
At that time, it looked like Finke's amendment might have been successfully removed, but according to Dark Hegel's reporting in this tweet thread, removing the language excluding pedophilia from sexual orientations seems to have succeeded in the final bill that Walz signed into law.

These amendments were signed into law by Tim Walz, by virtue of their inclusion in the "Take Pride Act," which was an act included in the Judiciary and Public Safety bill.

To reiterate, Tim Walz signed a bill into law through which, removed the pedophile exclusion that excepted pedophiles from the civil rights protections that are afforded to those protected identities or classifications that fall under the definition 'Sexual orientation.'
This opens the door for the law to protect pedophilia as a 'sexual orientation' under the Minnesota human rights legislation, especially when there is language in the bill expressly saying the provisions are to be construed 'liberally.'

The scary part is that none of the corporate media will report on this. Some of them actually agree with it, as vile as it is. Others are simply cowards who won't let the truth come out about Harris or Walz because they know it will cost Democrats the election.

Oh, I believe him. I hope everyone who reads this believes him too.
How long would it take a Harris-Walz administration to try to add pedophiles to protected classes under the CRA or other anti-discrimination laws? Maybe that wouldn't pass because as crazy as Congress is, it isn't as crazy as Minnesota, but they would still try (and may be able to accomplish some of it by executive action).
And, by trying, they keep pushing. Just a little bit more each time. Trying to find the weak spots. Maybe they issue some proclamations talking about 'MAPs' (which is just a euphemism for pedophiles) and giving them a 'Day of Visibility.' Maybe during the next 'pride celebration' they invite creepy old men and little children to the White House lawn.
(Oh, wait. They've already done that one. Every time Joe or Hunter Biden were in the presence of kids.)
That is how they work. Get that camel's nose under the tent and keep nudging. And nudging. And nudging some more.
This cannot be allowed to go any further. This is the hill to die on, if anyone was looking for one.
You don't have to love Donald Trump. Hell, you don't have to even like him. But Trump made it quite clear on a video yesterday (and has done so multiple times) where he stands on the leftist agenda to destroy children.
So, like him or not, we'd better vote for him. Otherwise, Walz will bring his agenda to Washington. An agenda that supports and protects the absolute worst people in society, people who should be removed from society.
There could not be a more clearly drawn battle line than this one. It's time to pick a side.
