California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been working hard to try and set up a run for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2028, but it's possible that Kamala Harris and many others will challenge that.
It looks like CNN's Jake Tapper went fly fishing recently with Newsom, and we learned that things might change if Kamala Harris runs for the Democrat nomination ahead of the next presidential election.

It was another great moment in "totally authentic politics meets completely objective journalism":

Does THAT make Newsom more relatable? Or "journalism" more believable? We report, YOU decide.
Sparkle Beach Ken is looking for his “graceful” exit plan now that it’s obvious Newsom would get rekt if he ran. https://t.co/bJqD2BmSPs

Maybe because Gavin knows he might have to get back to French Laundry at a moment's notice!
Gavin Newsom: I’m not going to run for president in 2028 if Kamala Harris runs again.

Also Gavin Newsom: There’s nothing I despise more than a politician that sits there and lies to you. pic.twitter.com/Fz02burSBg https://t.co/1NTj4J3264
Everybody's already used to nothing but projection coming from Newsom.
Nothing says fearless independent “journalism” quite like spending the day fishing with the politician you’re supposed to be scrutinizing. https://t.co/U5DukuAZ0p
