During the final year of the autopen presidency, the Democrats knew that the issue of the Biden-Harris-Mayorkas open border was crushing the party in the polls, so they reacted how they always do—by lying about it. The Democrats attempted to blame Trump and Republicans for opposing legislation the left said would make the border more secure.
Trump later had one of the best lines about that, and it's still 100 percent true.
"We didn't need new legislation, just a new president" has since been proven correct.
