Eric Swalwell Wants Us to Hold HIM to a Different Standard Than He (and the Dems) Held Brett Kavanaugh

The Democrats' smears, lies and yearbook skullduggery during the confirmation hearing for Brett Kavanaugh back in 2018 was one of the most despicable displays in modern politics, and Rep. Eric Swalwell had his part in it.

Yep, Swalwell was in full blown "believe all women" mode back then.

Fast forward a few years and we now have this

A former staffer of Rep. Eric Swalwell, a leading Democratic candidate for California governor, says that the congressman raped her when she was heavily intoxicated and left her bruised and bleeding, an allegation Swalwell strongly denies.

“I was pushing him off of me, saying no,” the woman told CNN of the incident, which she said happened in 2024 after she had stopped working in Swalwell’s office. “He didn’t stop.”

[...]

Three other women who spoke with CNN also alleged various kinds of sexual misconduct by the Democratic congressman – including Swalwell sending them unsolicited explicit messages or nude photos.

Swalwell now does not want us to "believe all women."

Nice Community Note, Rep. Swalwell!

Jonathan Turley's double standard detector is also beeping loudly:

Swalwell's learning the hard way that the idiom "ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun" now applies.

Who knows, maybe Kavanaugh's getting a kick out of how things have unfolded:

Hopefully Justice Kavanagh sends Swalwell printouts of some of his older "believe all survivors" posts along with a Pick-Me-Up Bouquet.
