Local News Outlet's PR Piece for MN Somalis (and Dems) Isn't the Own on Trump They Seem to Think

ImgFlip

As you now know, there's a massive fraud scandal continuing to brew in Minnesota that much of the media didn't happen to discover while Gov. Tim Walz was Kamala Harris' running mate.

In other words, this was the MSM vetting process for Walz:

Now we know what's been going on. Amy Curtis over at Townhall has a great piece about the scandal

Minnesota has a significant problem with Somali immigrants defrauding state taxpayers for billions. This includes the Feeding Our Future program, housing programs, and the state's Medicaid program, too. On October 31, Minnesota announced it was pausing payments to 14 Medicaid-funded programs due to concerns about fraud. Over the weekend, The Minnesota Star Tribune noted the state is keeping information about those Medicaid programs under wraps

Could it be because they're trying to protect Somalis? Possibly. A Hennepin County judge just threw out a jury's guilty verdict in a $7.2 million fraud case, for reasons that raised many legal eyebrows. On top of this, the Medicaid fraud has led to the death of at least one vulnerable man, and Minnesota taxpayers are now the largest funders of the Somali terror group Al-Shabaab.

Somebody else appears to be trying to help the Somalis (and Democrats) when it comes to public relations. The usual suspects in the media are circling the wagons because President Trump has noticed what's been happening and who has been involved.

That's how we ended up with defenses like this one from local news outlet KSTP in Minnesota:

People on X have been breaking that down and it's not the own on Trump the media seems to think:

It's a self-own for multiple reasons but I never expect "journalists" to present a logical case.

The story leaves out a few things, but I'm sure that was just a total accident:

The media should remember that most other people are better at math than "journalists" but they never seem to:

That story ignored something else:

Again, none of that was mentioned in the article. But the Democrats will appreciate yet another attempted media assist, no matter how much it accidentally torpedoes the argument they're trying to make.
