So far what I've learned from the lib media in the wake of an Afghan national in the country illegally shooting two members of the National Guard in Washington, DC the day before Thanksgiving is this: The terrorist who pulled the trigger is one of the victims, and a lot of this is Trump's fault.
Example number one:
As investigators continue to delve into what may have motivated the suspect in the deadly National Guardsmen shooting last week, a portrait of a life of increasing financial stress and a potential mental health crisis has emerged, sources told @ABC News. https://t.co/jFUreCFDMQ

The Washington Post can always be counted on a sympathetic piece about a terrorist who killed one service member and severely wounded another:
Rahmanullah Lakanwal was once an elite counterterrorism fighter in Afghanistan working alongside U.S. forces, but struggled to adapt to life in the U.S. after the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. https://t.co/yhzJIB7EQI

Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) has a compilation of even more, including NPR and the New York Times:
It is contemptible that legacy media outlets like @NPR, @nytimes, @ABC and @washingtonpost are willing to invest this much energy to cultivate sympathy for the terrorist who shot two members of the National Guard last week, while simultaneously demeaning the death of Spc. Rolling Stone, which used to be a music magazine that now wants to be The Atlantic, had this offering:
A fellow unit member describes how the alleged D.C. National Guard shooter felt abandoned by the CIA:

“He’d say, ‘I am working nine years or 10 years with [the] U.S. government. [They] never answer my phone [call].’”

This terrorist might end up getting the rock star cover treatment like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was found guilty more than ten years ago, just after Rolling Stone turned into Tiger Beat:

It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see that happen again. Maybe RS will do a dreamy two-fer cover featuring the DC terrorist and Luigi Mangione.
