The media's efforts to soften not only the vile hatred coming from the Left in the wake of Charlie Kirk's murder, but the accountability that's happening via job losses, has been coordinated and obvious.
Earlier I wrote about a couple of examples, which came from NBC News and the Washington Post:
Following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk this week, educators across the country have found themselves facing swift termination or potential discipline after sharing opinions on social media about the killing. https://t.co/6C43syq2Rz
— NBC News (@NBCNews) September 13, 2025
Within 24 hours of Charlie Kirk’s killing, an assistant dean at a Tennessee college, a communications staffer for an NFL team, a Next Door employee in Milwaukee, and the co-owner of a Cincinnati barbecue restaurant were fired after posting about it. https://t.co/lvohXa9g6C
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) September 13, 2025
They weren't just "posting about" Charlie Kirk's assassination, they were flat-out celebrating it.
To follow that up, here's what Rolling Stone made out of many people now discovering that their hateful rhetoric can have career consequences:
The MAGA right says Charlie Kirk is a martyr for freedom of expression, but still want people to lose their jobs for criticizing his rhetoric

"Criticizing his rhetoric"?
CRITICIZING HIS RHETORIC?
The people losing their jobs or being suspended were opening celebrating Kirk's murder. Here are just a couple of examples from a previous story:
A teacher in Florida?

Meet Kelly Brock-Sanchez.
She was hoping to wake up to an obituary. Well, this teacher at Ridgeview Elementary School is going to peacefully wake up to a lot of messages.
It would be a shame if everyone in Lakeside, FL, sees this.

Amanda Dodson, a teacher at the School District of Lancaster (@SDoLancaster) in PA, made a post online accusing Charlie Kirk of "inciting hate" and demanding that he receive no empathy.

THIS person teaches your children.

Good Morning @gcschools

One of your teachers appears to be the openly celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk.
Is this who you entrust the safety and well being of your children to?

Rolling Stone sure did a fast pivot on cancel culture:
This you? https://t.co/8J7P9J1Ss6 pic.twitter.com/tdTmmEGQTk
— Bonchie (@bonchieredstate) September 13, 2025
And take ALL the seats in denouncing "cancel culture," RS:
You, of all outlets, need to SHUT UP. You were the first outlet to dox me. You ran a deranged piece painting me as some CFPB mastermind only because you couldn’t dig up dirt. You tried to cancel me. You don’t get to whine about cancel culture.

Here’s the rule: if you don’t want…
As usual, you can't possibly have too much disdain for this brand of "journalism."
Literally not a single person wants others fired from their jobs for criticizing his rhetoric or beliefs. They do want people celebrating his assassination to be fired and rightfully so.

Delete this article. You still have time.
They have not deleted it and have no intention of doing so because this kind of shameless lunacy is Rolling Stone's bread and butter these days. After all, this is the rag that gave Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the rock star treatment on their cover and they've gotten even more despicable since then.
