A couple of days ago our own Amy Curtis wrote about how the streets of San Francisco were suddenly and magically cleaned up just ahead of President Biden's meeting with China's Xi Jinping this week.

It speaks volumes that San Francisco's leftist "progressives" were fine with the mess they created until they found out the leader of Communist China was going to visit and only then decided they should tidy up. No doubt the Biden White House also didn't want a backdrop of homelessness and drug addiction that Republicans could use in "Bidenomics is a disaster" ads next year.
Today the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, who met with Xi in China not long ago, just came right out and said it after being asked about the timing:

Well, there it is! Newsom didn't seem to mind the mess for his own voters but when his elite pals were going to drop by the clean-up crew got called in.

Too bad the meeting wasn't scheduled at the southern border or else we might have actually seem some tight border security for a couple of days.
