After Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter was finalized, one of his first moves was to lay off over half the staff. That caused a lot of people to predict a fast demise for the social media platform. Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon shared one such example that deserves an update:
Any update on this? https://t.co/muk6o90xkI

As you know, that didn’t happen. In fact, Twitter’s gotten better:
Ways Twitter has changed since @elonmusk took over:
– Less child porn
– Less politically motivated censorship
– Fewer bots
– More active users and engagement
– More transparency

How is it that Musk could send packing over half the Twitter staff that was in place when he took control of the company and yet it’s an even better user experience (not counting the people who were benefitting from the previous censorship)?
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld quoted Jim Treacher to explain why Twitter functions even better now with less than half its previous staff and also had some thoughts of his own:
FNC’s @greggutfeld: “[@jtLOL] makes a great point that Musk fired over half the staff & the site’s working fine. So what exactly did those people do? They weren’t running the site, they were actually running the users.” pic.twitter.com/grxLyphtXW

“They weren’t running the site, they were actually running the users.” Well put!
Always nice to be recognized by my peers https://t.co/4mKDC5PEsj
