'The View' panel's analysis of Gov. DeSantis thanking President Biden is as intelligent as you'd expect

Last week White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said she was unsure if or when President Biden would speak with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis about preparations and possible federal assistance regarding Hurricane Ian.

Eventually Biden and DeSantis did speak by phone:

President Biden finally got around to calling Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to discuss Hurricane Ian, which is barreling towards the Sunshine State, after dragging his feet on the matter for days.

As Townhall reported Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said no call to the Republican governor had taken place or was planned, but that none was needed to initiate a federal response to help Floridians. It was juvenile not to call DeSantis and it only got more so when KJP announced Biden had managed to call three Florida mayors in the hurricane’s path.

DeSantis, for his part, handled the situation like an adult and reminded the White House “there’s no time for pettiness” when a Category 4 hurricane is en route and people’s lives are at stake.

For only the most intelligent analysis of that conversation, we turn to some panelists on “The View,” some of whom now seem to agree that Gov. DeSantis has embraced socialism:

Yes, Joy, being willing to accept federal assistance to recover from a devastating storm is exactly like socialism (cue mother of all eye rolls).

There was finally a bit of a display of the “unity” we’ve been promised for a couple years and some on “The View” seem bothered by it — almost as if “unity” isn’t the actual goal.
