On Friday we told you about Adam Corolla’s wake-up call for the media, which came after the comedian said he would put Joe Rogan’s batting average on being correct up against CNN’s any day of the week. That was a great point when it comes to any “journalist” types who are wondering why trust in the media remains incredibly low.
With that in mind, New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg said the media should take a moment of pause:
Joe Rogan is what he is. We in the media might want to spend more time thinking about why so many people trust him instead of us.

Yeah, they should, but does anybody think the majority of people working in the media will actually take any time to do that?
The comments say exactly why mainstream journalists simply will never 'get it' . https://t.co/ZGHNZWii7D

If it takes longer then two seconds to figure out, you've got it wrong.

However, introspection and self-awareness don’t seem to be strong suits for many working in media today.
Narrator: And yet none would. Later, they would call Matthew a right-wing extremist for this fair, self analyzing perspective https://t.co/WYmngPMdvt

Yes, the media should think about that. They have zero credibility. https://t.co/ItbFAjUBGa

Joe Rogan's audience does not "trust" him blindly.
He has no hard agenda. He informs, entertains, and brings on a wide variety of guests.
He does not shove his ideology in your face. That's the difference between Rogan and the corporate press. https://t.co/edO4UCgMgV

This would require introspection.
And a willingness to admit past wrongs.
Two ideas the elites in the media are unable to entertain. https://t.co/P17kxOEmah

Instead of admitting they were wrong so many in the media simply shift the goalposts and move on, hoping nobody noticed.
