As we told you earlier, the House continues to stall sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate, and Nancy Pelosi is trying to pin blame on Mitch McConnell for refusing to capitulate to Chuck Schumer’s demands:
The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct.
President Trump blocked his own witnesses and documents from the House, and from the American people, on phony complaints about the House process. What is his excuse now?

Democrats — even former members of Congress — are trying to help Pelosi and Schumer sell that narrative. Claire McCaskill is among them:

McCaskill made the remarks on “Meet the Press”:
WATCH: Former Democratic Senator @clairecmc says the "Senate is no longer what it was."

And when she said “the Senate is no longer what it was,” McCaskill means “in Democrat control” with a liberal Majority Leader:

People whose memories extend to times before Trump became president remember well in what regards “Senate norms” were held:
But, @SenatorReid invoked the nuclear option to allow @BarackObama federal judges. Precedent was set by him. And @senatemajldr warned him of setting this precedent. it backfired now Gorsuch and Kavanugh on SCOTUS and over 100 conservative federal judges confirmed.
