President Trump’s tweets Saturday launched backlash from triggered Democrats and some in the media who immediately started circling the wagons around Rep. Elijah Cummings and his Baltimore district. Instead of reporting Trump’s claims as incorrect or exaggerations, the Associated Press seems to have found a spin that concedes Trump’s point while also blaming his family for part of the problem:
Some people in Baltimore don’t have to look far to see the irony in President Trump’s tweets that Baltimore is a “rodent infested mess.” Residents of apartments owned by the family firm of Trump’s son in-law, Jared Kushner, have complained about mice. https://t.co/ge6eATerBT

“I don’t know how they come in. Every time I catch them, they come right back.” _ Davon Jones, on the mice in his Baltimore-area apartment owned by the family real estate firm of President Donald Trump’s son in-law, Jared Kushner.

“His son-in-law owns all of this — then he can fix it. I’m pretty sure he has a lot of money.” _ Dezmond James, who rents a Baltimore-area apartment owned by the family real estate firm of President Donald Trump’s son in-law, Jared Kushner. https://t.co/7fYcDlzs9W

First of all…
Wow, the AP just admitted DJT is correct. Baltimore is a rat-infested S-Hole!

Bingo! But they also found a way to connect Trump (or at least members of his family) to the city, because “journalism”!

Is there a point? It's not the buildings fault they have rats, it's the fault of the people who dont clear the trash https://t.co/JIykDaKzwu

The MSM won’t care about any of those questions because they’ve found an angle.
Oh good- you found a Trump link so now you can cover the story ?
— Bravo Stan (@mileyfan4321) July 31, 2019
We knew the media would find a way to blame Trump for it, and they did. AP et al, you're nothing if not predictable and concept of journalistic integrity long gone. Trust in the press is now at an all time low for a reason. Stop it while you can… ?

Oh come on! Mice, everyone has mice problems from time to time. It's not the same as rats!
— Nat. Incident Alerts (@incidentmap) July 31, 2019
HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA
"The rats in Baltimore are Trump's fault! Even if by proxy!"
— ??Patriotic?Tiger (@PatrioticTiger) July 31, 2019
And now the AP is a tabloid too…wow
— Dr. John Lane (@drjohnlane) July 31, 2019
Oh, so the government is excused? All the firms that own the buildings are at fault?
— Princess of Whales (@corrcomm) July 31, 2019
It doesn't change the fact that you have issues in Baltimore.
Seriously people.#ridiculous #irony #media

Ok so does Baltimore have rats or not? Or yes but only in Trump associated properties?
— Sandy Quinlan (@quinlan_sandy) July 31, 2019
What about the rest? Who owns those?
— Rick Barrett ⚔️?⛪️ (@BarrettBrief) July 31, 2019
The media will do anything to try and spin everything on Trump. And the irony is, they always fail.

The Democrats probably appreciate the AP’s help with this particular situation, even though it does involve admitting he wasn’t wrong.
