As Twitchy reported Monday, John Brennan reiterated his Resistance to President Trump after the press conference with Vladimir Putin:
Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson put forth a question in regards to the former CIA director who has repeatedly shown his disdain for Donald Trump:
What would an intel official who speaks like this be willing to do using his official office and intel tools… to protect the nation from what he views as this sort of threat? (Reminder: Brennan was CIA Director during election and after Trump was elected, during transition.) https://t.co/Nau0re4qsm

Hoo boy!
A very good question. https://t.co/ygLy4rfXpR

EXCELLENT question. It appears we soon know the answer. https://t.co/0GaeYNZ98f

Attkisson really kicked a hornet’s nest there and fielded some reaction this way:

You can read my tweets or Trump's press conference any way you like. I was remarking on a very serious, vitriolic tweet from a former top intel official.

I think him speaking out loud & clear is great. YOU ARE A CONSPIRACY THEORIST.

You present compelling evidence. And the capital letters pretty much make it irrefutable. https://t.co/weSvSvPMOv

So, you are defending how a sitting President acted today? Really?
— Randy pollock (@RandPol85) July 17, 2018
My comment said nothing of the kind either way. (Are you defending the Brennan tweet and behavior?)

Attkisson added:
(What federal intel contractor wrote about Brennan around the time that forensics show the govt. intruded in my computers, secretly took AP phone records, went after journalist James Rosen, surveilled members of Congress…) pic.twitter.com/e7i4jiPGkF

What “deep state”?
Stay tuned.
