The cancellation of “Roseanne” had some liberals using that news to claim it as a victory of sorts over the Donald Trump, and actress Debra Messing was among them:
I just heard #rosanne is cancelled. My reaction— tears. I am so relieved and grateful. The hate that has been spewing from those in Trump’s orbit has really taken a toll on all of our souls and psyches. I didn’t believe it would happen. I had lost faith. Thank you @abc .

Some liberals have already translated ABC’s cancellation of “Roseanne” to mean the Dems odds in the upcoming elections just improved, but few have expressed their feelings on the issue more dramatically than Messing.

As I recall, Messing was also nearly in tears when Bernie Sanders suggested the rich should pay more tax. https://t.co/Q8VBrL06Qq

This is why we shouldn't take Hollywood seriously. Tears? Jeez https://t.co/gVtCPkXSgV

Crazy how the cancellation of a sitcom seems to have solved all the worlds problems overnight… https://t.co/lvuihEi6W0
