CNN's winter storm hot take is out of this world (Hint: 'This storm has jumped the shark')

Nasty winter weather is hitting the eastern United States, and CNN doesn’t have time to figure out if it’s an apple or a banana because they’ve got some panic buttons to push:

wtf is this chyron are you actually kidding me right now pic.twitter.com/4vzMSmKbJ3

THIS. Is CNN.

Good job CNN run with the colder than mars a little longer. pic.twitter.com/mjHiEHoqnF

Why does @CNN and everyone in 2018 gotta bring Mars into this? When did “record breaking lows”, “arctic vortex/blast”, and “bone-chilling” become insufficient? pic.twitter.com/aZVZtH4rTF

This is an apple. Some people, like us, will tell you it’s a banana, but we promise you it’s an apple. Maybe.

Drinking game to survive #bombogenesis:
Rules:
1. Turn on @CNN
2. Take a drink every time you hear “colder than mars” #blizzard2018
