As we reported prior to Ben Shapiro’s appearance on campus, UC Berkeley administrators told students and faculty that counselors would be available to work through their issues after the horror of exposure to an opinion that might be different than their own. Now that Shapiro is actually on campus, it’s clear those counseling services will be in demand, and reportedly not only from people who witnessed Shapiro’s speech:
Just talked to a #Berkeley freshman who said she'll be seeking counseling after #BenAtBerkeley event. She's not attending his speech.

Yeah, somebody could have been joking around with the reporter, but given the events that have transpired of late, there’s a high degree of likelihood she was being totally serious.
She can't handle ideas and concepts that are different from her beliefs?
Grow up. The world will chew her up and spit her out.

18 years old. Needs counseling for a speech she's not even listening to. Just sit and think about that for a moment… https://t.co/6mBestlB9G
