Big time Obama fan Michael Skolnik decided to wear a shirt sporting the likeness of his favorite president through what he claims is a right-leaning area of Texas. What happened next will… not seem like that big of a deal:
Walking around a very small Texas town that voted 80% for Trump with my Obama t-shirt on this morning has been quite the experience.

In the restaurant I had breakfast at one of the cooks came out from the kitchen and came over and said, "I just wanted to see your shirt."

In the gun store that I wanted to check out, the nice lady behind the counter told me when I walked in that "I looked like was lost."

It's a very beautiful town + the people are very nice. Here for a wedding of a friend who worked for Obama, so I wore t-shirt to represent.

So in other words…
Liberal shocked when treated nicely by people who disagree with him politically. https://t.co/n1VrwQWnIm

Spoiler alert: People were politely bemused and that's about it. https://t.co/QNoNhPnqsG

Sounds like everybody was pretty nice (as Texans tend to be) ? https://t.co/K0xmFvQzGW

Just for the full range of experience, it’s been suggested that he try something else:

We’d be interested to see if that experiment turned out as benign as Skolnik’s stroll around Texas.
This is the epitome of bad manners. People lost everything, and this guy is out there deliberately trying to see if he can piss them off. https://t.co/LZg04XugAF
