Mitt's out! Only 1 former Republican nominee is NOT skipping the GOP convention

He won't be the last… https://t.co/S6wmQygmUJ

2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who in early March delivered a speech in which he called Donald Trump a “phony” and a “fraud,” will reportedly be skipping this year’s nominating convention in Cleveland:

Romney isn’t the only Republican planning to skip the convention. Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, along with former GOP nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney have indicated they won’t be in attendance:

Romney & McCain OUT on being IN Cleveland. Skipping Trump’s nominating convention.

H.W. & G.W. Bush won't endorse. https://t.co/k2e9cZBfzu

Both Presidents Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney and that empty chair Clint Eastwood talked to are all skipping the GOP Convention.

The last 2 Republican presidents (Bush 43, 41) and the past 2 Repub nominees (Romney, McCain) will be skipping the GOP convention. Whoa.

But there will be one former GOP nominee in attendance:

.@GuardianUS can confirm that Bob Dole will attend the convention in Cleveland and only be the only former GOP nominee there

— Ben Jacobs (@Bencjacobs) May 5, 2016

At this rate it’s possible former Sen. Dole will end up delivering the keynote speech.

Is @Reince still planning to attend? @Bencjacobs @GuardianUS https://t.co/yqpROkAvDw
