Harf-tastic: Has the State Dept. spox actually read the NYT article she's blasting?

On Tuesday, State Department spokesperson Marie Harf said she was “perplexed” by a New York Times report which cited the International Atomic Energy Agency as claiming that Iran has increased its nuclear fuel stockpile by 20 percent over the past 18 months.

Yesterday, Harf continued to blast the Times’ report and one of its authors, insisting that “all the nuclear experts” have told her that Iran will fully comply with the terms of a deal with the Obama administration:

Harf encouraged Sanger to check out an expert on the subject:

Did Harf actually read the entire NYT article?

There it is:

“From the U.S. perspective, it’s obviously less than ideal,” said Richard M. Nephew, an Iran specialist at Columbia University, who worked at the White House and State Department. Mr. Nephew said the enlarged stockpile was not a deal breaker because Iran could find a way of solving the problem, especially if it was offered sanctions relief.

Harf-tastic!
