AWKWARD: Jim Acosta asks Trump if he's manufacturing a border crisis and then 'POTUS defers to Angel Moms' [video]

Today in the White House Rose Garden, President Trump announced that he’s declaring an emergency at the border in order to secure funding for the beginning of construction of more border barriers. Another Trump presser meant that it was…

Acosta time!

CNN’s intrepid Resistance reporter again squared off with the president, but it got awkward for Acosta at one point:

Jim Acosta asks POTUS if he is manufacturing a crisis at the border.

POTUS defers to Angel Moms, who hold up pictures of their children toward Acosta and say, “is this manufactured?” and “this is real.”

Questioned by CNN's Jim Acosta, Trump says: "Ask the 'angel moms'… You have an agenda. You're CNN. You're fake news. The numbers you gave are wrong."

One of the Angel Moms directly addressed Acosta:

ACOSTA: "I believe in facts… What do you say to your critics who say you are creating a national emergency?"

TRUMP: "Ask the Angel Moms. Do you think I'm crating something? Ask these incredible women who lost their daughters and their sons." pic.twitter.com/VmYqLP4sli

President Trump asked by @Acosta about whether he is creating a crisis, pointing to stats from his own administration that conflict with his position. Trump says “you are fake news” and points to angel moms, one of whom stood up and said to Acosta, “This is real!” pic.twitter.com/x5EZbGDlE1

You might remember not long ago when Trump personally thanked Acosta for helping prove his point about border walls.
