UK Home Secretary Reopening Resettlement Schemes for Palestinians Who Have Fled the Horrors of Gaza

The Daily Mail reports:

Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, who was appointed nature minister in July, told a fringe meeting at the party's conference that she fears the far-Right will launch a battle at the next election using this supposed fantasy.

She said she is kept 'awake at night' thinking about how the far-Right will weaponise the countryside at the next election.

Ms Riddell-Carpenter told party members: 'This is one of the things I do stay awake at night about, and think about, and fear.

'One of them is that if we don't make the case for nature, for rural communities, and what we believe rural communities look like, I do believe that the next election is going to be fought on a battle line of nature and rural affairs.

'And there'll be the far-Right deciding and determining what that looks like.

'It'll be a vision, a nostalgic vision of Britain, that never really existed.

'It'll be that warm ale, a black Labrador by your feet in a pub that doesn't exist, and with symbolism of fox hunting all around them, it'll be a very far-Right nostalgic vision of Britain that we don't want to have, [and] never really existed.'

Rural communities like Piddington, population 350, which is soon to be a dumping ground for more than 1,200 male "asylum-seekers" from Muslim countries. No, that version of Britain that Labour considers "far-right" won't exist anymore if Labour gets its way.

Bad news for that on the far-right: Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is reopening a scheme to resettle "asylum-seekers" in the U.K. As examples, she uses women and girls fleeing from the Taliban, which we can sympathize with, and Palestinians fleeing from the horrors in Gaza, which we can't. You've seen the wall Egypt has erected to keep Palestinians out. They sure as hell don't want them.

This Government will reopen the UK Resettlement Route in partnership with the United Nations.

We will take vulnerable refugees from camps across the world and give them the chance of a new and better life here in Britain.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has just announced that the UK is restarting the refugee resettlement program.

The government will also make it possible for NGOs, charities and universities to invite and sponsor refugees moving to the UK.

This is the same Home Office handing out brochures teaching "asylum-seekers" washing up every day in dinghies not to rape women and children. The U.K.'s refugee resettlement program never paused. I'm literally not sure what it means that they're starting it up again.
