I like most of the Marvel movies. I keep meaning to take a Sunday afternoon to catch a matinee of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," but so far I haven't made it. I'm good to wait until it comes to streaming. I'm not boycotting the film because antisemite Mark Ruffalo stars in it, but I'm also not in any rush to see Ruffalo on screen. "Avengers: Endgame" is apparently back in theaters with a four-minute post-credits sequence that sets up Ruffalo's Bruce Banner as a major player in the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday."
I enjoyed this week getting to use the "crying Hulk" graphic to accompany posts about the way being cleared for Paramount to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. As I reported, Ruffalo was upset that the Ellison family, which apparently is complicit in Israel's "genocide" of the Palestinian people via Oracle software, will have control over even more of the media, especially CNN.
Also appearing in "Avengers: Doomsday" will be Florence Pugh, whose performances I've enjoyed quite a bit. Variety reported on Friday that Pugh was never scared to publicly support Palestine in Hollywood. (No way!) Ruffalo, who's already worth millions, certainly isn't worried about losing roles by going on about genocide.

Again, wow. So many in Hollywood are afraid to publicly come out and support Palestine. I didn't think it was worth a story, but Susan Sarandon was carted off by the police for blocking Benjamin Netanyahu's motorcade in New York, and Elliot Page was right up front with the banner, but I don't know if she was arrested.
My wife used to watch Young Sheldon, and I'd catch it ambiently while scrolling through X for material. I was happy to hear Wallace Shawn's voice … until today. Now I hope to never hear it again, unless it's an apology. Like Pugh, Shawn doesn't seem to be afraid of losing any roles for saying that what Israel is doing to Gaza today is as bad as what the Nazis did to the Jews during the Holocaust. What an in-depth knowledge he has of the history of the region.

Fortunately, I was never a big fan of "The Princess Bride," so that's not ruined for me. With Pugh and Ruffalo both in "Doomsday," though, I might just take a pass. I'll catch it on streaming. Speaking of Marvel, I always wonder how outspoken Christian Chris Pratt manages to share a movie set with all of these people.
